The lechon was nice and crisp...just how it should be. The ox tail was great with the peanut sauce- huge fan of it. Ssig with a fried egg was a staple dish which I would come back for time and time again. I want to come back and try the grilled meats and desserts.

Good vibes, good food and good service. I loved their food. My colleague recommended me and it was great experience.

Great food and portions, service is good, environment is pretty standard. Loved their bisteksilog.

Super cute brunch spot with a good number of options to choose from. Really enjoyed the food here!

OMG this food was amazing!!!! Everything was delicious. I loved the lumps and lechon. The pork and chicken skewers were so tender and juicy. Such an intimate and family oriented setting. I felt right at home like I was eating with my mom and aunties at the dinner table. I'm happy my first experience with Filipino food in NY was at Renee's :) I'll be back for sure.

Was in the mood for Pilipino food and had read that this was the place to go for that! The area is fairly saturated with Pilipino cuisine, so cannot necessarily argue why to go to Renee's. However, we had an excellent time. - The menu is extensive, almost too much so for someone who hasn't had so before. We were greeted immediately and ordered before even sitting, so as to save time. - Went with the lumpiang sariwa and BBQ grilled sampler. This was more than enough food. - The former was a thin crepe with flavorful vegetables and a healthy amount of peanut and garlic. The shrimp was very very minimal, if you're looking for a shrimp-forward dish this is not the one. - The BBQ sampler was filling; we were worried it wouldn't be enough food but it certainly was. Came with pork, chicken, pork chop, longanisa, & pork belly. The longanisa (dipped in the house vinegar) and pork belly were our favorites. They all came out timely and were a very fair price. Also came with a garlic (or white) rice to complement it nicely. - The decor made it feel like I was truly in someone's house as they made us food. - In retrospect I probably would've bought some lumpiang shanghai as everyone around us did and it looked delicious.

I've had Filipino food before, but having Filipino food at Renee's has upped the bar. Renee's is a hidden gem in Woodside and you can tell the place is family owned and authentic. The restaurant is casual but homey and the restaurant wasn't crowded on an early evening on Friday. My friend and I didn't take into account that this place closes at 7pm and we got there at 6pm. If you want more time to dine, lunchtime is a better bet. Despite the confusion on why our bill was closed so early, we were provided with friendly service. Our food also came out relatively fast so we had time to eat. My friend and I shared an ube shake, a spicy sisig, and the oxtail kare kare. The ube shake was sweet and creamy and tasted pretty good. I really enjoyed the sizzling spicy sisig which was not super spicy but had a flavorful kick. The sisig was especially great with the garlic rice. The oxtail kare kare with the shrimp paste was also very good and they gave several pieces of tender oxtail. These entrees with the amount of rice given to us were more than enough to fill us up. While Filipino desserts have gotten special attention these past few years, I think Filipino food still hasn't gained enough traction to catch up to the Filipino dessert craze. Renee's is definitely a great introduction to good Filipino food for those who haven't tried.

This place is great! Made me feel right at home. My mom is from Pampanga and it couldn't get more authentic than this. Their tapsilog is cooked to perfection and their eggs tasted so fresh. The rice was light enough that it didn't stick together too much - you can definitely eat with your hands! They also have Red Horse and San Miguel, but most importantly, they are generous with the wine pour! They have Christmas decorations up already in October (LOL so authentically Filipino) and there is enough space for big families or just a cozy date night. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to!

Filipino Breakfast right off the airport!!! Places like this make me miss the philippines and my college life. Im so happy more filipino restaurants are using the "silog" dishes to attract customers. Ambiance feels like I'm literally back in college. Great food great atmosphere!!
